"You have a lake!" I've never thought of our home as water front property, but the twin four-year old boys were convinced my gold fish pond was a lake. It may have something to do with size - theirs, not my pond. It made me laugh while I chased them around my front yard for photos a week ago. A somewhat somber pair while in the studio, they lightened up when they changed into jeans and t-shirts to adventure "lakeside."
At the request of their parents, I'm not posting photos of the family on the web, but thought I would share a few views of our front yard. It's been so much fun this year to see things bloom that I didn't even know I had - the yucca plant for example. For some reason, it has taken 5 years for this one to bloom! 
The front yard is definitely maturing - even our pond. Now if we can just keep the Pierce County Assessor from finding out we now live on a lake!
